PVMNT

When will I get to see pavement? this is the question that’s been gnawing at me for months.

Was going to go see them le 6 mai au Zénith, à Paris (the National is opening!), but it conflicts with May Experience. Bought my Bonnaroo tix before knowing they weren’t going to be there (needless to say, selling those…) I guess I need to cross my fingers that I can get tickets to their inevitable US tour before it sells out…I hope they come to Atlanta/Asheville/Athens! Because if I don’t see the re-united Pavement, I will be as bitter for the rest of my life as an ex-high school quarterback who twists his ankle in the last quarter of the state championship and loses the game.

Also, I like this picture of them because it looks like a cast of a sitcom.  ”That 90s Show” or something.

Yesterday I found out that Garance Doré and Scott Schumann, the Sartorialist, are dating in real life.

…I wonder if they would adopt me?…

The “Civil Heretic” (at Furman!)

Usually physics would rank pretty near the bottom of things that I’m interested in… somewhere down there with economics, math, comfortable shoes, farming and golf.

However, after reading the recent article in the NYT magazine about Freeman Dyson, i was just absolutely taken and fascinated by this man who is completely brilliant but doesn’t believe global warming is a big problem (read the article)…So I found out he’s going to be furman talking tonight and I’m pretty freaking excited!

Also Mark Sanford is here tonight, I kind of just want to go to that so that I tell him, “hey good job putting politics above the well-being of your state’s citizens, asshole”

but it’s sponsored by CSBT and i try not to go to their CLPs on principle
